Glenmede Remains Headquartered in Philadelphia

Glenmede Signs Long-Term Office Lease to Remain Headquartered in Philadelphia

Glenmede to maintain presence in One Liberty Place and unveil new, innovative HQ offices on high-rise floors in late 2024

Philadelphia, PA (April 11, 2023) — Glenmede, a leading investment and wealth management firm overseeing more than $40 billion in assets under management (AUM), today announced that it has signed a long-term lease to remain in One Liberty Place, located at 1650 Market Street. A tenant in the iconic downtown Philadelphia office building since 1994, Glenmede plans to relocate to higher floors in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Glenmede was founded in the City of Brotherly Love in 1956 and has been headquartered in the city ever since. “Philadelphia is a vibrant and historic city that has been an important part of Glenmede’s historical fabric since inception,” said Peter Zuleba, President of The Glenmede Trust Company. “It is home to many of our employees and clients, and we remain committed to helping the city thrive.”

Emerging from the pandemic, Glenmede is dedicated to offering a hybrid work environment and is excited to advance this approach by creating an efficient and technology-forward space designed specifically for hybrid work. Glenmede will partner with Market Street Realty Advisors and the world-class architects at Gensler to reimagine the firm’s physical workspace in One Liberty Place. The Gensler team focuses on developing a deeper understanding of the connection between design, business, and the human experience. As part of their work, they will audit how Glenmede employees use space when on-site, as well as the experience of engaging with colleagues and clients who are off-site. Leveraging modern technology to maintain a collaborative culture, regardless of physical location, will be an important element in the future design. Employees across the firm will have an opportunity to provide input to ensure recommended designs align with business and client needs.

“The way people work and the reason they come into the office has changed. Our objective is to create a technology-enabled destination workplace that is flexible, yet purposeful—one that optimizes both the employee and client experience, irrespective of location. We are excited to create the next generation of space that enables innovation and collaboration and embodies our values and culture,” said Zuleba.
